Geozones

Overview
GeoZones are user-created geographic boundaries that are automatically applied to all vehicles in the account. GeoZone enter/exit alerts are not real time. Devices must send other alerts before a GeoZone boundary alert is sent. For example, if a GeoZone is created for an impound lot, any device that sends an Auto Report from inside the boundary will also trigger a GeoZone Enter alert. GeoZone alerts cost 0 TRAK units.
Mapping All Geozones
- Click the Map All button in the upper right, next to the Import button
- The map at the bottom of the page will update to map all geozones on the account
Creating A Geozone
- Click Add in the upper right
- This opens the Create Geozone window
- Choose a Geozone Name
- Set an Address or GPS, then click the arrow button to automatically populate the other set of fields
- Choose a Radius (miles)
- Choose a shape
- (Optional) You can use the markers on the map to adjust the geozone’s boundaries
- Click Save
Editing A Geozone
- Click the Edit (pencil) icon next to the geozone you would like to modify
- This opens the Edit Geozone window
- The Geozone Name, Address/GPS, Radius and shape can be edited
- (Optional) You can use the markers on the map to adjust the geozone’s boundaries
- Click Save
Deleting A Geozone
- Click the Delete (trash can) icon next to the geozone you would like to delete
- This opens the Delete Geozone window
- Click Delete
- This will delete the geozone from the system
Importing Geozones
- Click Import in the upper right
- This opens the Import Geozones window
- After making sure your CSV file conforms to the listed guidelines, click Choose File to select the CSV file you would like to import
- Click Import
- The geozones will be added to the account
