Vehicle List

Contents

Overview

The Vehicle List to the left of the map displays all of the active vehicles in your account. Vehicles are listed alphabetically by their Display Name.

*Note: Suspended and Expired devices will not be shown in the Vehicle List, and are only visible in the Devices menu under the Admin tab.*

Searching for a Vehicle

Use the search bar at the top left of the Vehicle List to search for specific vehicles.

Vehicles can be searched by the display name, stock number, VIN, make, model or serial number. Searches are case insensitive and can be partial matches

Filtering the Vehicle List

Clicking the Filter (funnel) icon next to the search bar allows you to filter the vehicle list using the following dropdowns:

  • Device Status: User-defined state of the device (Installed, Not Installed, Out for Repossession)
  • Reporting: Whether devices have or have not received events in the last 7 days
  • Starter: Whether the device’s starter is Enabled or Disabled
  • Warning: Whether the device’s buzzer is Enabled or Disabled. Devices that do not have a buzzer attached will display as Disabled.

Once the filters are selected, click Apply. The filter icon will be highlighted to show that the Vehicle List is currently filtered.

Click the Clear button under the filter dropdown menus to remove all filters applied to the list.

Selecting a Vehicle Group

Available for Notifier Accounts
Use the All Groups dropdown below the search bar to select a vehicle group to display. Selecting a group will update the list to show only vehicles from that group.

Mapping All Vehicles

Click the Map All (pin cluster) icon to the right of the All Groups dropdown will map the last known locations of all the first 500 devices shown in the Vehicle List.

If the Vehicle List is filtered, only the filtered vehicles will be mapped.

Vehicle Reporting Status

To the left of each vehicle in the Vehicle List is a reporting status indicator.

  • A blue bar indicates that the device has sent an event within the last 7 days.
  • An orange bar indicates that the device has not sent an event in the last 7 days.

This allows you to quickly identify which devices have stopped communicating and may require investigation. Devices can stop reporting for several reasons (e.g. dead car battery, poor cell signal). The Vehicle List can be filtered to show only reporting or non-reporting devices using the filters explained above.

Quick-Editing a Vehicle

Hovering over a vehicle in the Vehicle List will show two icons to the right of the row.

Click the Edit (pencil) icon to select the vehicle and immediately open the Edit Details window to edit vehicle information.

Quick-Locating a Vehicle

Hovering over a vehicle in the Vehicle List will show two icons to the right of the row.

Click the Locate (pin) icon to select the vehicle and immediately send a Locate command to the device.

Working with Multiple Vehicles

Use the checkboxes to the left of each vehicle in the Vehicle List to select multiple vehicles, or use the checkbox above the Vehicle List to select all displayed vehicles.

Selecting multiple vehicles will map each vehicle's last location on one map, and display a command bar at the bottom of the map. This bar allows you to send multiple commands to multiple vehicles at once.

When combined with Vehicle List filtering, working with multiple vehicles is especially useful. For example, you can filter the list to only show devices that have not reported within the last 7 days, then send a Locate command to all those vehicles.
